IELTS Speaking Part 3: Chủ đề “Restaurants”

Speaking part 3 thực sự không khó và “academic” như mọi người vẫn nghĩ. Đó vẫn chỉ là một cuộc trò chuyện thông thường, có điều là chúng ta sẽ thảo luận về những vấn đề rộng hơn mà thôi. Do vậy, ngôn ngữ chúng ta sử dụng trong part 3 vẫn sẽ là ngôn ngữ hội thoại hàng ngày, chứ chẳng phải là ngôn ngữ cao siêu hay học thuật gì cả.

Dưới đây là một vài câu trả lời mẫu của mình cho chủ đề Restaurants:

1. Why do people like to eat in a restaurant?

Well, I think there are many reasons why people enjoy eating in restaurants. The biggest reason, I think, is that people don’t have to cook or wash the dishes when they eat in restaurants. They just simply go there, order and enjoy the food. It’s quite suitable for people who are lazy or who don’t know how to cook. Another reason might be that the food in restaurants seems to be tastier, as they have professional and experienced chefs.

2. What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of eating at home compared to eating out?

When eating at home, we can cook whatever we like. Also, I think it would be more satisfying to enjoy the food made by ourselves or our family members. I myself really love my mom’s dishes. But there are also some disadvantages of eating at home. People these days are quite busy working, so not everyone can have time to cook. So, going to a restaurant might be a better option.

3. Do you think bigger restaurants tend to be better than small ones?

Not necessarily. Bigger restaurants look fancier and more beautiful, because they have more money to invest on the appearance. But the quality of the product, which is the food, is what really matters. I’ve been to several big and luxurious restaurants, and I did not really like the food there. I’d rather go to some small restaurants near my house. The food there is not only cheap but also incredibly delicious.
